Annette Elizabeth Sykes is a mixed media painter and printmaker. She did a degree in Textile Design and Embroidery and went on to work as a screen print designer.

Annette’s latest series is inspired by the depths the sea, after a scuba diving trip to the Bahamas where she almost choked full of awe and joy at the scenes she saw.

That joy has impacted her work as she tries to pass on that experience and wonder through her art.

She has exhibited widely throughout the world and has work on display in private collections in the UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Thailand, South Africa and Panama. Her public collections include work at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Scarborough Museum and several Peace Hospices. Annette has also appeared in publications including ’50 Years of Printmaking’ published by Bankside Gallery, London; Home and Garden and Interior Design and various issues of Life Magazine.
