Bobby Boud was being born in Cumbria, and lived some of her younger years in the Far East. It was here seeing Chinese silk scroll paintings often depicting aspects of landscape set in spacious and tranquil surroundings, began her love of art.
After a career in aviation, Bobby completed a two year diploma in printmaking, before successfully achieving a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from UCA Farnham, Surrey.
She likes to work in a series, exploring the subject from different aspects. It is the near rather than the distant landscape that interests her most, often the land at her feet, which inspires her unique artwork.
This series entitled “Tide”, reflects a place where the never ending ebb and flow of water exposes then covers the land, a place where the reflected light and surface constantly change.
