Fiona Scott-Wilson undertook a Graphic Design course at Lincolnshire College of Art and thereafter created commercial designs for products like Tesco’s Finest Chocolate range.

She spent time in Italy and France at her own art retreat  and in 2014, became inspired by Henri Matisse’s paper-cut work, someone who made the use of paper a viable art form.

Overnight, Fiona swapped her painting mediums for paper, initially creating bold, colourful, simple works inspired by her love of nature, the Arts and Crafts movement, Japanese woodblocks and also Oriental design in general.

Her cut-paper works have continued to evolve over the years, now including more detailed designs by utillising intricate fine details like fur shading. Her diverse palette of multiple paper colours create complex artworks in which every component is intrinsic in creating the final harmonious and colourful image.
