Neil Rogers ASGFA is the winner of the 2024 BCA awards at TALP. A portrait artist specialising in people and pet studies, he works from his studio in Alrewas, Staffordshire.
Using oils and acrylics, he enjoys painting a range of subjects, but but he is mostly renown for his charcoal and acetone portraits, superbly capturing a person or animal’s features with a deep understanding of light, space and mood.
He favours charcoal because of the medium’s simplicity and immediacy as well as the variety of emotions that can be achieved through it and he has exhibited widely including at The Pastel Society, The RBSA gallery, The TALP exhibition and he is also an associate member of the Society of Graphic Fine Arts. He and his work was also featured in Sky Art TV’s Portrait Artist of the Year 2024.
