Sandra Haney studied at the Central St Martin’s School of Art, in the 80’s. Since then she has worked in printmaking and painting.
As a self-employed artist living in the north-east, Sandra is inspired by the surrounding nature which she paints usually in oils. Working often en plein air, her work is influenced by the seasons, weather and the light and atmosphere of place at a specific moment. Many of her finished works are on wooden stretcher frames so can easily be hung without a traditional frame.
She often takes part in exhibitions throughout the UK including those on London’s South Bank. Her work sells throughout the world and in 2023 several of her works were purchased for some luxury interior design projects across the UK, where they also helped raise funds for charities. Her work has been also been featured in LandEscape Review and Circle Arts Quarterly Review magazines.
